About Imran Hub

At Imran Hub, we are passionate about fostering social innovation and creating positive change. Our vision is to establish a hub for social impact and enterprise right in the heart of Bradford’s historic Little Germany district. We aim to serve the people of our city and the wider region by embodying key values and principles:

  1. Leadership: We curate and offer thought leadership, drive meaningful conversations, and inspire action.
  2. Openness: We believe in sharing our resources generously and transparently, creating a collaborative environment.
  3. Collaboration: Rather than competition, we cultivate an atmosphere of collaboration, bringing together diverse perspectives.
  4. Inclusion: We create democratic spaces and cultures that are open to all of the city’s people, ensuring everyone has a voice.
  5. Policy: We turn civic engagement into the development of inclusive policymaking, advocating for positive change.
  6. Listen: We listen to the city’s people with empathy and compassion, understanding their needs and aspirations.

Bradford, with its rich history of social innovation, has been a laboratory for impactful initiatives. From Titus Salt’s workers’ village in the 1800s to being the world’s first UNESCO City of Film, our city has a legacy of making a difference. At Impact Hub Bradford, we see ourselves as custodians of this legacy, working to create a home for social innovation and enterprise.

Our Journey

Our story began in 2015 when our CEO, Kamran Rashid, started his socially conscious venture. Frustrated by working from home and feeling isolated, he visited the Impact Hub in London. Inspired by the sense of community and opportunity, Kamran envisioned bringing this spirit to Bradford. In 2016, Imran Ali joined the team, bringing expertise in innovative ecosystems and technology. Shortly after, Alex Chisholm joined to develop strategies for arts and culture. Together, they established 30 Chapel Street, a company that would incubate our work and connect us to Impact Hub’s global network.

By 2019, we welcomed Mandip Sahota, who brought expertise in policy and strategy. Transitioning from a private company to a community interest company, we strengthened our governance and ethical framework. Our journey continues as we collaborate, learn, and facilitate dialogue across sectors. At the heart of Impact Hub is our Civic Collaboratory, where experimentation, collaboration, and consensus-building take place. We see the city as a platform for curiosity, accessibility, and social innovation.

Join us at Imran Hub as we work towards a more inclusive, innovative, and impactful future!
